The Early Release Day Program provides supervised activities from 1:30-4:30 pm on those days when the Riverdale School district dismisses at 1 p.m. The program is usually held at St. John's school building,
Contact a coordinator any other time: 608-929-4970 or 537-2002 Activities include educational information and guest presenters, crafts, constructive play activities and time for homework--all in the presence of caring adult role models. RCoH strives to provide a safe and fun environment for youth who might otherwise be left on their own.
Transportation is provided for any field trip events. Children board an event bus at the end of the school day at the Riverdale Elementary school. Buses and certified drivers are provided by Riverdale school district. Children with other transportation may also attend. A signed permission slip for each event is required for your child to attend. Permission Slips are handed out at school and must be returned to classroom teachers by Friday prior to the Early Release Day Event. If your child hasn't brought the slip home, click the link for a pdf version available for your use. If you missed the Friday deadline, but still want your child to attend, call 929-4970 by noon Monday, to have a space reserved on the bus. A signed permission slip must still be turned in for your child to attend the event. |
